Q: What is the key to being successful in business?

“I think it’s to work hard and be dependable and valuable to your customers.”

Q: How much has your industry changed from the time you started to now?

“It has changed tremendously for customers and me.”

Q: Did you see yourself in this position as a child?

“Not at all. I wanted to be an athlete of some kind when I was a child growing up.”

Q: What advice would you give any aspiring businessman looking to start a company?

“That’s a good question. I’d tell them to be humble and work hard.”

Q: What is your greatest accomplishment as a businessman?

“My greatest accomplishment is my volunteer work in building Morganza to the Gulf. That will help keep this community safe – now and into the future.”

Q: The local economy is struggling. How has your company adjusted? 

“We’ve worked hard to cut cost and work harder to make the best with what we have.”

Q: Do you think the economy will rebound soon? 

“Yes, it is starting to stabilize. I think better days are ahead.”

Q: What makes a good CEO?

“I’d have to say it’s listening to your key people.”

Q: If you could describe your company in one word, what word would you say? 

“Integrity.”

Q: What are plans for the future of Alford and Associates?

“We will continue to deliver unparalleled service to our customers along with the opportunity to expand ourselves into the future.”
